Best Friends Forever!

I had an ectopic pregnancy burst my tube
this past weekend,
causing all sorts of pain and internal bleeding--
and emergency surgery!!!
Glad to be alive!
I am happy to be recovering and back to crafty activities!

This is my BFF altered notebook for the Greeting Farm challenge!
I wanted it to be all punky girl!

I went simple on colors: black, white, teal and hot pink!
I used hot pink paper, hot pink crepe material and black tulle for floral accents!
I used my 2 favorite creeper girls foam mounted for dimension.
The bff is a simple letter set, adorned with the
sweet & toxic stamp and wings embossed in sparkles
--and the tulle over the top!

It is pretty simple, but I wanted the girls
and the flowers to stand out!

Just for fun!

Made this just for fun--and needed a thank you
card for my friends who helped me out!

They are watercolored and then detailed
and blended with prisma color pencils!

Arrive in Style!

Always arrive in style!
Found these little Barbie shoes and knew they would
be perfect for the first Simply Betty Challenge!

The background was one of those "happy" experiments!
I don't think I could duplicate it the same way...but there
was a lot of cutting, embossing powders and glitter!
This is a really thick card!
The background is foam mounted on the pink,
and Rio is foam mounted on the animal print background!
And those little shoes are the icing on the cake!

Betty's socks were the inspiration behind the design!
Check out the challenge blog!

Cute as a button!

I had fun giving these 3 girls a little photo shoot!
It is very reminiscent of my high school days, so I thought I'd send it to an old friend!

Ye Olde Skool!

This is for the Old School Challenge at The Greeting Farm!
I used sepia tones to create the old school feel...
and then went unnecessarily further back with the saying:
Ye Olde Skool

Boo!

Another great Halloween image makes
another great cracked glass card!
I love her!
I colored her really sketchy and splotchy!
I did crazy stitching...and foam mounted her.

I love how vibrant the colors look with
the ultra thick embossing powder!

Thanks for looking!

Happy Haunting!

I couldn't resist this little skeleton Ian!
He is too cute!
I used the cracked glass technique, as it
was the tutorial this past
Wednesday at Club Anya!
And I did more pleats--that was the toot the week before!
Ian is foam mounted, the ribbon is very thick...
so this card actually has a lot of dimension!
I love how it turned out--great little guy card!

Old Skool Mermaid!

I made this card for the Old Skool Challenge at the Greeting Farm!
I used an old magazine, embossed and crumpled it, burnt it and inked it!
It was fun anyway :)

Then I cut out her body/fins (?) to create
negative space where the paper shows through.
It was different and fun to try!

Halloween Summer London card!

Simply Betty is having a challenge!
How could I resist a Halloween challenge???
The challenge was to make a Halloween card with
a non-Halloween image!
I chose the Summer London babe image!
(what's more non-Halloween than a sunny beach?)

Yeah--I'm the Treat!
I did paper piecing for the hair, glasses, bikini, and bandana!
Embellished with some rick-rack,
spiders and brads with a skull...
She is foam mounted with spider corners

I used 3 patterned papers for the card!
I love the spider web hair!

Thanks for looking!
Check out Simply Betty--there are tons of deals right now!

Little V.I.P. Girl!

Today for school--1st grade, Hailee made her V.I.P. poster!
We just did a scrapbook page with pictures,
her own painted images, and stickers!
Earlier this year we wrote out her alphabet and had a font made,
so this was her writing earlier this year!
She is so fun, she loves to do projects like me!

Ruffles and Pleats!!!

This weeks Club Anya WTW was on Ruffles and Pleats!
Instantly I thought I need to make a boy card...
since a girl card would be too predictable!

I used some twill tape and pleated it!
Didn't put a sentiment on it yet...thinking birthday!

My card shop!

I have had this card display for a couple years,
stuffed in the attic after we closed our business.
I decided to get it out and use it!
Now it's like a card shop in my craft room!
Plus it's fun for me to see all my cards...
hopefully it will remind me to use them!
I try to send out at least 1 card per week,
but I make more than 1 per week...
so I have some excess...

Halloween Creepers

I love this new sweet and toxic set!
I thought it would go perfect with our Halloween 2001!
Thanks for looking!
I am surprised that there aren't very many
entries in the Scrapbook challenges!
I take them very seriously--:), and it's a great way
for me to get my scrapbooking caught up!
These images work so cute in scrapbooks!
We need them to start making digital kits!
I am also entering the Simon Says Challenge! Holiday blog hop!

I used Traci's Wednesday tutorial to gather the ribbon!
I love Halloween, so I suspect there will be many more Halloween pages in my future!
